Macaroni Kid Fun and Games Twitter Party
Games, Jokes, Riddles and Brainteasers at a Community Twitter Party
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 27, 2010 – Water Mill, New York: On Wednesday, September 29 from 9:00-10:00 pm (EST), Tweeple are invited to join the Macaroni Kid family for "Macaroni Fun and Games in 140" -- characters that is. Hashtag #mackidtips.
Twitter parties are a great opportunity for people to gather virtually. All are invited to bring their best jokes and to join Macaroni Kid as they challenge the Twitter community with brainteasers and puzzles. The party is sponsored by VTech (@vtechtoys), maker of, among other great products for kids, the Mobigo touch learning system.
As always, the party will feature prizes, giveaways and plenty of laughs.
"Laughter is the best medicine,” explains Joyce Shulman, Macaroni Kid's Chief Macaroni Mom (@macaronikidHQ). “So once the kids are in bed, we thought it would be fun to gather for a bit of fun and games. Any and all humor-loving moms and dads are welcome to join us!”
This will be Macaroni Kid’s sixth monthly Twitter Party. Previous themes have included “Parenting Tips in 140,” “Taking Care of Mama Bear,” “Out of the Mouths of Babes, Crazy Stuff My Kids Have Said” and more.
The party will be hosted by Macaroni Kid Publisher Mom and blogger extraordinaire Supah Mommy (@supahmommy).
People are encouraged to RSVP in advance for special prizes at http://mkrsvp.blogspot.com/2010/09/rsvp-macaroni-kid-twi ...

Jaden! Prayers!
Jaden has scans today and tomorrow.
Please pray for clear results and keep Julie in your mind as she battles this evil monster. She is recovering from her surgery to remove a portion of her ribs that was cancerous. I believe that treatment will begin at some point soon for her. We love them both so much and are thinking of them and their family.
Joey started Kindergarten and our little man Jaden began PRESCHOOL!
HE THREW HIS BINKY out the window on his way there.
I spent some time with Kelly Loney last night at an event that she came out to support.
When I saw her standing there my heart literally skipped a beat… like a butterfly. She even brought little Sarah! Ethan's sister! She looks just like him. Her pretty blue eyes are piercing and bright. Just like Ethan's!
Kelly's support of our cause ( Silly Bandz- anza for the kids at Children's Hospital 9th floor - Cancer Floor) was so touching. Bringing it all into perspective. She is soon creating a foundation in Ethan's honor! I will keep you updated!
We do this ALL for Jaden , for Julie and to remember our little Ethan, Kelly's son. These people have touched not only my family but so many of you.
THANK YOU TO ALLLLLL OF YOU who DONATED Silly Bandz to this cause. We have THOUSANDS for these kids. You are all the best.
As for me, I am still working on getting that other site up and running for all of you. But I'll use this one in the meantime for important things. I just have NO TIME anymore. :)
We love you all!

2 ways to earn: Boxtops For Education
The Safeway family of stores (which includes Dominick´s, Tom Thumb, Randalls, Vons, and Genuardi´s) is making it simple to give back with "2 Ways 2 Earn" cash for your schools with Box Tops for Education and the "10% Goes Back to Schools" program.
Box Tops for Education has already given away over $320 million to help the more than 69 thousand schools participating. And if that wasn´t enough, earning Box Tops is even easier this year with four new brands participating in the program: Progresso Soup, Totino´s Pizza, Betty Crocker Cake Mixes and Gold Medal Flour.
To help your local schools even further just look for the "10% Goes Back to Schools" yellow school bus tags on over 2,000 of your favorite items throughout Safeway from August 11th - September 14th. When you purchase participating products with your Club Card, Safeway will give 10% of the purchase price to the local school of your choice.
Here´s how it works:
- Check your receipt from August 11 - September 14. The total will be updated each time you shop.
- Beginning on September 18, a redemption code will be printed at the bottom of your receipt.
- Visit backtoschools.escrip.com before October 13 to choose your favorite participating local school, then simply enter your redemption code to make your donation.

Lucky.
I guess I'm lucky it's the coffee table and not the kitchen table.. I remember when Chief posted about her son's 13th birthday. She put up a million pictures and about 998,000 of them were of her son STANDING on a kitchen tables. Tables that he climbed constantly. Enough so that they BUNGEE CORDED THE CHAIR LEGS TO THE TABLE LEGS.
I scoffed!
BOYS! Said Supah! Silly Silly Boys.
Until my 17month old figured it out.
Then proceeded to climb every single object in site.
Here are some highlights.

Wonder where I can buy bungee cords.
You can now find me over here. I'll be filtering in and out until I get my RSS feed to work over there.

Amplify this.

Have you ever thrown a fist full of glitter in the air?
I've been in such a place as of late that some people reading this stupid ass creation, have begun to wonder who I am.
AMPLIFY THIS:
You think you know me?
Go jump off a stoop.
What I thought was my breaking point last week evolved into what I believed to be this beautiful opporutnity for clarity.
I was ready to tell you all that I didn't give a shit about what you thought. That I could fight my battles anyway I chose. I even had a great line- You don't kill cockroaches with rainbows.
My misguided self thought: that was my clarity.
I'm such a novice in life.
So naive.
I was knocked to the core this week- with personal news of a magnitude I cannot explain.
Julie's cancer has spread. To her bones and her lungs are almost half filled with fluid.
Yes, Jaden's mom.
They will take out part of her rib, drain the fluid and begin what I can imagine to be aggressive treatment.
Leveled, said Grammie. They are leveled.
Yet Julie remains positive.
Have you ever looked fear in the face
And said I just don't care?
She is amazing.
It's only half past the point of no return
The tip of the iceberg, the sun before the burn
The thunder before lightning, the breath before the phrase
Have you ever felt this way?
This blog means nothing to me.
If you're here for any other reason than to read what I write for pure sport and giggles...
Then.
Leave.
Because I have nothing else to offer you.
It's only half past the point of oblivion
The hourglass on the table, the walk before the run
The breath before the kiss and the fear before the flames
Have you ever felt this way?
This page. Each post. BLog land.. sponsors, getting rich, followers, comments, counting such things.
It's ridiculous.
IT means nothing.
For my sweet friend. I am with you.
Put your gloves on and your dukes up.
We're down. But NOT for the count.
You owe me a lunch.
