I"m a Sex and the City fan: not some psycho dress like Carrie Bradshaw fan - I wouldn't fit in her peep toe Manolo's if I tried. But I do enjoy the show and have very much enjoyed the movies. The one liners- are HILARIOUS and I particularly enjoyed the last movie because it was simply about the "fierceness of friendship. "
This movie- was about finding a sense of your self amidst the " noise" of life, commitments and obligations. Finding your place : once you acquire all that you've wished and dreamed for. A place I find myself daily. Once you have all that you wished for - the fairytale wishing ends. You find yourself standing knee deep in it - wondering ... what now?
The most incredible moments in the movie : to me were the moments when Charlotte locked herself in the pantry -crying while her kids screamed on the other side.
I cried with her.
Miranda and Charlotte later have a heart to heart about being mothers. Miranda lets Charlotte know that it's OKAY - to feel the way she feels It results in this statement" BEING A MOTHER is hard work - and I HAVE HELP. "

They spent the week at Children's Hospital helping Jaden to continue this miraculous butt whooping " on cancer. They are now HOME and Julie reports that J Dawg is feeling GREAT!

Joey and Daddy are away at camp this weekend and Julie and Jaden get to spend some quiet time , or maybe LOUD screaming , BEING A BOY time together!
Today also marks what would have been LIttle Ethan Loney's third birthday. Amazing that Julie shares his day huh? The world is so amazingly intertwined .
They are celebrating and remembering today Ethan's special day by releasing a balloon. Perhaps one of the balloons will make it to YOU?

Four score and 9 years ago- in 2001. DBD and Supah vacationed or rather honeymooned in Jamaica at a Sandal's resort- Grand.. something or nother. Shoulda been called- Lotsa Warm Pools and Weird Fake American Food Resort.

So anyways. Sandals has all kinnza shit you can " explore" while you're there. Get your fill of adventurism. even if you're FAR from the adventur" ish" type. There's a spelling bee callin your name.
I passed on the catamaranning after I saw a lady get a " lesson" in cat- a- marranning.

DBD and I were all giggling and feeling all stupid when the dude cut our tether rope with a machete releasing us to the open ocean of death.
Our shit stopped giggling immediately when we realized that this was a
NO JOKE EVENT. Hands gripping the MASSIVE handlebars.
I felt like we were the main event in the circus.
OF COURSE THERE WERE PEOPLE ON THE SAND- watching.
Mo Fo if we didn't pedal that sucker with everything in us- and still.... we began to drift further and further out to sea, sea.... sea.
There is skill involved in driving one of these ocean Hummers. .
We did not have it.
We would drift further with the current.
Jaws theme began playing and waves began ROCKING OUR FINE ASS " BOAT" all around.
Dbd began to have what I believe to be a mild panic attack. He would pedal faster - my legs would FLIP OFF as he pedalled.
I would SCREAM at him- YOU'RE HURTING ME YOU ASSWIPE PEDALER ! '
We would get it together for 2 seconds... begin heading to shore with the ROcky Theme playing- people would cheer from the shore.
Then mother nature would throw a wave at us and knock us further off course.
Dbd would of course begin yet another panic attack..... begin his pedaling frenzy.

I would scream obscenities
and round and round we went.
I was looking around for a freaking ANCHOR to heave ho.
We ended up in Japan.

I thought I'd stroll you down a memory lane with me. Take you back to a time of embarassment and early marriage. Honeymoon marriage that is. No.. not the first year of my marriage. Literally- my honeymoon,.
DBD- death bed dan to those of you who are new, my now husband of amost 9 years - had the flu on our wedding day. What are the chances? It was Kissmet. He gets a cold and he acts like a wounded war veteran from 1786 with a cold rag on his head and more......... imagine young DBD on his wedding day- with the flu.
Yahh fun..
My bridesmaide, Catnap , drove us to Baltimore MD the next day - while he laid down in the back of our Nissan Pathfinder. This is how we began our honeymoon.. I drank coke and read magazines while he was doped up on nyquil sawin logs. Too bad I didnt' write a blog then hun?
He slept the whole plane ride and somehow- woke up at the end of the ride. It was WAY fun. for me.
We vacationed in Jamaica at a Sandals resort.. He did recover after a day or so. There were two incidents of note. Actually 3. I shall tell you one each day this week.

Jaden is doing wonderful! He is running around, getting stronger every day. He is back to normal with not having to hold on to Jul or having her in his sight. He is proud of himself for so many routine things that he hasn't been able to handle in the past couple of months. We all are.

Big J checks into Children's hospital tomorrow for hopefully what we pray is a 5 day, uneventful stay! This will continue his treatment plan - filling him up with meds to keep his system healthy.
So pray for little J- that this week goes as planned with no surprise infections etc. That Julie's pain has been relieved somewhat - and that she's re-fueled and ready for another round !
Knock it out Jaden! We're thinking of you all ! Always!
Love for Kelly Loney- who with the Pittsburgh rain this week- saw many puddles for Ethan! We jumped for him and pray he's watching over Jaden and little monkey! My girls, will never see a puddle again without thinking of him either !

Mission Monkey Day and Prayers for Daffty
If you don't know me very well then you won't know who " nenny " is. She's my sis. She's the best part of my life and I look at her like I look at my own children. With so much love and appreciation that it's unwritable. Everyone needs a "nenny" ... that's my saying.
Another blogger, Daffy, who is very close to The DDOR , had her older sister undergo unexpected brain surgery. She is now on a ventilator with no signs of brain activity. She has small child a husband and a family who probably is just lost.

If you’ve been living under a rock since the beginning of this month, then you have no clue what this Monkey Business is all about, but worry not, my friend! I’m here to ‘splain it all to you!
See, one of our own, Pixie Momma has a daughter. She goes by Monkey. Monkey was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma during the first week of May. Monkey is 16 months old. She doesn’t deserve this. Nobody deserves this. As bloggers, we can’t cure cancer, but we can fight like hell.
In the weeks since Monkey’s diagnosis, we have recently learned that the cancer is Stage 1 (low risk). This is great news, but cancer is still cancer. Monkey’s bills are piling up. Physical Therapy has started and this isn’t covered by their health insurance. She will also have hefty bills to pay for monthly scans and tests for the next few years.
Though we know that the cancer is low risk at this time, we are still going to rally around Pixie Momma and Monkey to provide support. In addition, to further entice you to lend your hand, and donate to the cause, we have over 50 items that have been donated. Many bloggers are hosting these fabulous giveaways and all you need to win one of these items is just one raffle ticket.
All funds raised will be deposited (via paypal) into an account in Monkey’s name. Any unused funds will be passed on to another family fighting the good fight. Pixie Momma firmly believes in the “Pay it Forward” method.

I don't know if there's some way to EVER EVER find a balance in life. It seems you have to CHOOSE one thing and go at it full force ....... to be able to come to any sense of " I did a FREAKING AWESOME job at that." stance.
You can't choose 2 things..... or even three " HEAVEN FORBID" You can't for instance say, I'm going to be a stay at home mom, a homemaker and a business woman. . You'll just piss off the Mommy can be successful Gods.

I have a BASEMENT- a NICE basement. Not a dank, centipede filled , dark , one lightbulb creepy laundry basement. I have a finished guest suite - and that's where I DRAGGED all 4 sheets full of my dirty laundry. Because I had no where else to put it.
My microwave- which is NORMALLY clean . Has curdled milk in it.. Oh yes. it. does.
Mnm. Asked me TO CLEAN HER TUB yesterday.

STAY AT HOME MOME
I'm at home. So are my kids. That's about it.
Today: Booger got her hand shut in the slider door by yep who was trying to go out on the deck, with fairy wings on and jammies. To dance.
MNM snuck a popsicle upstairs- to watch TV. WHile she is GROUNDED FROM TV.
Yep Yep- discovered scissors. Every piece of free paper in the world: has been CUT-TED by Yep. She' maniacal about it. Like some pyromaniac.... but with scissors. I'm fearful.
While she was cutting the 67th piece of paper- i took the scissors and cut her bangs... and gave them back. And then remembered to say " dont' you dare cut your hair. "
Boogy Bear- snacked on some dog food. Not once, not twice.... three times. That counts as lunch i'm pretty sure.
BLogger to the stars: pshhht. I'm doing better but again. Mediocre.
I'm one step closer to meeting MchEy Hey though.... that is all i will say.
Business savvy woman. - kinda pass Yes I am. - this is where my mind BLOWS it's top.
But I am on my computer 24/7. I have 4 projects going on at once- that bring home some bacon. and fill up the tank that is debby -

I BBQ'd DBD last night for being a total asshole and not HELPING me even after I HYPOTHETICALLY * AHEM* experienced Random Thought 2. I did this via facebook, KNOWING he was probably on.... because I was too sick to go upstairs without worrying about pooping my pants every step I stepped. * supah is cautious folk*
