Sundays With Jaden: weekly update
I'll do this every Sunday - AND AS NEEDED for the gazillions of you following his story: so keep coming back.
For those of you unaware of this tough little man, you will first need to read his story here. ( click those words) I must preface your journey to reading that story with two reminders;
I know this family personally.
Grab a Kleenex.
Our little man has nine radiation treatments down and only three to go. He has had a physical therapy evaluation for that limp that they were so worried about. Good news is that he will receive therapy two times a week to improve his strength. They are all so relieved. In the meantime he is enjoying his time at home. Julie is awaiting a well deserved trip with some girlfriends and Daddy will be in charge of the roost. I do not have info about Juile's results so keep thinking of her. I know so many of you have asked. Prayers for a safe, relaxing and fun trip for Julie. Prayers for our little man during his last few treatments and prayers for Big Daddy Joe. :)
Who will be Mr. Mom for a bit. Thank you to those of you who have kept Jaden in your hearts and mind for all of these months. Thank you to those of you just now learning of his story and loving his sweet face.
A special thanks to Tammy Two Cents Daughter Who remembered Jaden during a project for her local Children's Hospital.

Look what these girls did!
They sewed tiny little "feeling hearts" for patients like Jaden in their local area.
What wonderful sweethearts you all are. THank you for remembering Jaden. It is on it's way to him.

* UPDATE FROM GRAMMIE AND SOME PICS
I am sorry that I did not share last week's Dr. news about Julie. We went on Monday to the ENT who wanted to wait until he talked to the Radiation Oncologist. We went to the RO and he said that since the activity on the MRI in her parotid area was not consistant with her symptoms, he did not want to do anything. The lung issue is not much different. He believes that she is getting pain from scar tissue and gave her meds that soften it. He also gave her Vit E to help with the scar. Thankfully that is good news. Doesn't really feel like it, but it is good news. He told her that there is entirely too much going on with Jaden and she needs her energy to deal with him. We are glad that there is not anything horrible happening, but it is working at it's slow pace to cause her grief.
Jaden is doing well. We are so excited. Two more to go this week!!!
Then MORE tests next week.
Keep Praying
Love Grammie
PLEASE DONATE TO HELP THIS FAMILY IF YOU FEEL LED!

Praying for all.
I know times are still stressful, but there has to be some sense of relief with every positive outcome!
God bless him and his family
I look forward to these updates every week - continued prayers for everyone!
Those hearts are some of the cutest things I have ever seen. I hope that his little heart is filled with love today and everyday and that his body is free of this horrid bully that is cancer forever!
It's good to hear that Jaden is doing better. I hope it continues. It's good to hear that Julie is getting some time for her. I hope she enjoys it and receives good news for her own battle.
Three more...that is awesome! I grabbed the button and will be posting it.
Only 3 more!! Yay!! Please update when you have info about Julie.
Supah,I enjoy reading these updates every week. Jaden and Julie and their families are in my thoughts!
Three more, little man. You can do it!!!
I'm so glad things are going well for your family. It sounds like it has been a tough road.
Good news!! Yay. I'll keep the prayers coming! I love those sweet pictures of Jaden and Julie!
Yay, only 2 more treatments to go! Glad to hear he's doing better!
Thanks for the update on Julie.
What beautiful pictures!!
That picture of Jaden kissing his mamma...OMG, drew tears from me. So moving. What about the other friend Rhonda (?) Still keeping this family in my thoughts.
I am so sick of stories of kids getting cancer I could vomit right along with them. My daughter has been battling for 15 VERY LONG years now. She was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 10 and underwent a bone marrow transplant. Although she is cured from her original disease, the "CURE" has taken bits and pieces of her life over the past 15 years. She was put back on chemo about 18 months ago for an auto-immune disease that the transplant gave her, so she has now lost her hair for the second time in her life. She is now 25 and was forced to quit college (with only 15 hours left), quit her job, leave her boyfriend and friends, and move back in with her parents. She is now on total disability and had brain surgery this past Tuesday...and she is having another brain surgery on Thursday. Our family is being forced to file for bankruptcy and we are about to lose our house because I lost my job 6 months ago (where I had worked at a church for 7 years) because I had to take care of my daughter. Along with the job loss, my daughter also lost her health insurance, and so did I.
We wish we could find someone that might be willing to put one of those little "donate" buttons on their blog as we are having so much trouble coming up with the money to pay for my daughter's prescriptions. She finally got approved for Medicaid, but they only pay for 3 prescriptions per month, and she takes almost 20 per month. She is also suffering from major depression, and we can't even get her depression Rx filled.
Can I ask how you found someone to put the "donate" button on their blog for this family?
Any help you could give me with this answer would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
