Jaden UPdate: Back in the Hospital

Jaden is STILL there. They are stuck for a few days ! :(

Here's the current status from Julie's facebook! I get to see them today !

Still + blood cultures, means true blood infection. Will be here for a few more days for IV antibiotics. Jaden is doing well... Joey is with Grandma, hopefully we'll see him later! Daddy went to get Jaden a "big buck"!!

Jaden is back in the hospital. They got a call this morning after being released last night: that his blood work came back showing infection.
We will know more later.

Think of our little supah man.

And then go bid. LOL!

Updates From Grammie: Most recent first...

Jaden is doing pretty well this evening, however he is now neutropenic (few neutrophils). Counts are everything right now.

We will see what tomorrow brings.

Disappointing news ... Jaden has been admitted this morning. His culture came back with infection. They will administer IV antibiotics and try to get it cleared up. I hope it is not his central line. Will let you know tonight when we get back. :-(

He is home!!!! (and no worse for the wear)

Just wanted you to know that our boy is headed to CHP with a temp over 101. Bummer. Keep good thoughts and lots of prayers!!!!
He had a good "Turkey Day" but you could tell that he was running in low gear. Before we left their house all he wanted was for Julie to hold him.
That was a sure give-away that he wasn't up to par (little golfer pun.)

Elf on the Shelf - SIgned Edition. - UM YOU GUYS. If you have KIDS.. this is a NOT MISS. We opened ours today and it is ADORABLE! You put this little elf guy out.. and he is WATCHING the kids. They aren't allowed to touch him... he flies to the north pole when they are sleeping to report to Santa their behavior. IN the morning he returns, but to a DIFFERENT SPOT... the kiddos wake up and try to find him !!!

Absolutely insanely cute. My kids have been angels. Day 1. We'll see how Day 2 goes. lol!

Other updates this week:

11/24/09
Today (Tues) Jaden got discharged around 3;00 pm. He had been doing very well, however, the movement from the ride home brought back the puking. Poor boy is very sick tonight. Julie gives him the nausea medicine, but he throws it up. He tells me that he doesn't feel good. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. We are anxiously waiting for Thanksgiving Day to arrive. This will be the first turkey day that our whole family will be in the same place at the same time in 10 yrs. Sweet!

SECRET: Did I tell you that we are going to go to see Thomas the Tank Engine on 12/4? We are all very excited. Of course, it will all depend on Jaden's health, but with God's help it will happen. I promise I will take lots of pics and send them asap.

( KEEP THAT A SECRET INTERWEBZ.. LOL supah)

Jaden news tonight: This is actually Jaden's Round 5 (not 6). There has been so many comments about the rounds, that I am sure they are confusing. Round 5 is a repeat of 3, the famous "PUKEY" round. Round 6 will be a repeat of 4 - the HORRIBLE round that caused his mouth and throat to be covered with sores and a 8 day at the "hotel". Hopefully, this will improve. So far, as of tonight (Monday) he has kept everything in his belly. We will see what happens! I saw him tonight and he was playing like usual, just a tad slower. He had a good time in the playroom painting. He is getting good at pushing his "tree" (IV pole) around by himself. Quite a feat for a 2 yr. old! He says he doesn't feel good and spits most things out, because everything tastes yucky. We are hoping for the turkey (or at least the mashed potatoes) to taste good! Soooo far, so good!

GrEAT- FULL - NESS.

I am "great- full" for THE THOUGHT, THE MERE THOUGHT OF being stuffed FULL on Thanksgiving upcoming.

I already have my Turkey Day comfy pants picked out.

I am Great- FUll for my little munchkins. I try my best. I suck most days but I heart them so much.

They , themselves, should be Great-Full I didn't actually lose my mind this past weekend Mini-Vackay. Some might beg to differ... that I didn't actually loose my mind. But I gagged those people and shoved them in my closet to work out their "differ'ing OPINIONS.

I am Great and FUll for my family extended. Cuz's, Aunt's , Uncles.. followers , tweepers. Yep. You made it onto mah thankfulgreatfull LIST.

Pray for my buddy. While we eat Turkey Gobbles.. he's goinna be sick.

JK.. BUT..I have lots of famous people helping. It is amazing how fast walls come down when a little boy is involved. The auction will take place Nov 26th- dec 6th ( date change due to ebay rules) and will be on EBAY. YOU WILL access all of the auctions from my blog.

Jaden is currently at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh undergoing this round 6 chemo treatment. They hope to be out of there by Tuesday of next week. Pray for this little booger. They need you still.

Grammie's Notes:

Jaden is doing well so far. He has been in a good mood and has been playing like crazy with the new toys in the playroom. They are hoping to be done and on the way home by Tuesday.
