DBD: Supah! Don't you see.... the GRASS TOTALLY NEEDS CUT!! CAn you not see this ?? Can you not see that it BLOWS in the wind? I HAVE TO CUT IT . For the sake of ALL THAT IS LANDSCAPING. IT BLOWS!! I cannot be the ONLY JONES in the neigborhood THAT HAS BLOWING GRASS. CAN YOU NOT SEE??
It'll ONLY take me 3 hours IF I get started RIGHT NOW during the height of kid neediness. And IF I start now.. I'll be done in time for THE GAME.

Oh ... YOU ARE SUCH A Futt Buck! IF YOU THINK THAT AFTER 7 YEARS OF MARRIAGE AND 10 YEARS OF - KNOWING YOU... that I believe for one MILLISECOND that YOU MUST CUT THIS GRASS because it is BLOWING.. you are a super sucker dude indeed. IF YOU CHOOSE TO LEAVE ME WITH THESE KIDS FOR THREE HOURS TODAY the ONLY thing that will CONTINUE to blow... IS THAT GRASS.

That is too funny!! My husband is the same way...always taking off during the high point of kid neediness.
The best is in the winter, when he decides to not only snow blow our driveway, but all of our neighbors as well. Grr.

S once walked in the house when L was having a meltdown and simply turned around and got back in the car and left. I then had a nuclear meltdown in the open doorway screaming like a banshee at his retreating car. L stopped though--I think she knew there was no way to top me :)

I have one that works on his car for 3 hours after work...he knew how much I hated him after that...I was in charge of dinner, dishes, taking care of the needy kid (who of course was especially needy that day)...I've vowed to 'take off' for 3 hours on the weekend when the boy is needy and NOT wait till he's in bed.
